A ton of people run them with great results out in Western PA specifically (where he's from). Tpg Tuning uses a lot of his motors and a ton of people on the forums use his heads. He's a great guy who offers a great product with the best parts cheap without any catch.

Would porting the manifold give gains on a stockish setup? Or is it a mod to do later on?

I've been doing some reading on it . It will give some gains, but your going to get the most with a tune with it.

No, I had the stock unported manifold, and decided to go tubular ETS before I even thought about ported stock. I hate the look of a stock manifold with an ugly heat shield lol. I had my car tuned in the beginning of February, and had it running so hot the manifold was glowing red, no cracks. Picture of it was even featured on ETS's Facebook page. If you have instagram, follow me (bdecker9) to see pics of it.

After seeing no results over the past several years of a ported manifold on a stock turbo I will say it is not worth it even at $150.

For a tubular manifold, I would say based on the cost it would not be worth it. Would you rather spend $1000 on a manifold for minimal results and disappointment, or save towards a larger turbo and possibly not be as disappointed?

Price might be expensive, but in my mind it wasn't disappointing. Lifetime warranty to the original purchaser, better looking engine bay, and slightly faster spool. Can't go wrong with the warranty

I'm sure with a little bolt on mods, the porting will do some good. But I understand your perspective. 150 is cheap compared to 1000 by a long shot. If your were trying to help spool, some powerband, without jumping right into a new turbo I believe it would be worth it

When you port the exhaust manifold you have to port the turbine housing as well or you are going to see reversion. Doing it properly should be of great importance if you are seeking any benefits.

I like the factory looking engine bay, so putting a tubular manifold does not appeal to me and does not look better in my opinion. I have a picture posted in my "garage" section of this site showing how factory 400whp+ can look without having any sort of bling factor.

You can get a stock ported manifold for less then $120 and sell your current one for $50. Im making over 600whp on the stock ported manifold, works perfect would reccommed that for a stock appering turbo.
