Noob clutch break in ?
Noob clutch break in ?
I just put a cc stage 2 in my car and there is a 500mile break so I'm taking it easy on the car. My question is can those 500miles be highway? Or is it just city? Sorry for stupid question :/
Yea I have never launched the car nor plan in doing it. I just don't drive it around the city much and 500miles would take me a while. Plus it's extremely boring lol
The idea is to engage and dis-engage the clutch allowing the disc to break in.. Driving 500mls hwy isnt going to do anything to accomplish that. Go out and drive the car--shifting like normal and break it in rt. Take your time and dont beat on it no matter how boring it is, its far more painful to have to replace it again.

Only 2 or 3 people said the right thing in here.
Those who didn't say the right thing, you're the same people that will tell someone its okay to break your freshly built trans in doing all highway miles. NO GUYZ it'z fineeee you definitely don't need to shift to bed in synchros, just put it in fif geer and do 65mph for 500 miles
Idiots.
Don't say the right thing if you're not sure or if you didn't learn from a reputable source.
