Hta3586 vs 6466

Hello everyone,
Lately I've been debating whether I should change my hta3586 for a new 6466. Last year My car made 781whp @ 44 psi . Even though I couldn't enjoy the car too much because my trans took a crap twice from banging those gears. This year I want to break into the 800's that's why I'm considering a 6466 . Will the 6466 make more power? The entire setup on the car will remain the same the only thing being change is the turbo.

Here is my mod list

*Built 2.0l Manley TT rods/Je pistons 0.20 over 10:1 compression Acl bearing/
Arp main studs/BR balance shaft removal/Fluidampr

*Unported head /kelfold 280's/ standard inconel valves /supertech dual springs and retainers/L19 head studs/copper valve guides/

*Custom T3 hta3586 turbo kit/tial 44 mm/4" intake
*4" intercooler/custom 2.75" Uicp/ 2.5" lower/Tiall BOV
* custom catch can with STM fittings and dip stick
*Ported buschur IM/ Full Blown 70mm TB
*custom walbro 400 double pumper/aeromotive FPR & fuel rail
Fic 2150cc injectors/fuel lab inline filter.

*jacks transmission ultimate ratio trans & tcase/ HD Exedy triple/
STM fork stop & clutch line.

*spartech non cdi ignition
*torque solution motor mounts
*all buschur lightweight parts
*buschur small battery kit
*custom aluminum exhaust

I may be missing some parts but I can't remember now .

AFAIK the 6466 is rated to 900hp. I believe the 3586 is around 750-800hp if i remember correctly. The 6466 does have a bigger inlet wheel too 64mm vs 62mm on the HTA. I would say go for it with the t3 .63 ar turbine manifold side. BTW 781whp is ****ing sick. I think you should be able to make more power.

Thanks man, I know 781 who is sick but I always wanted to break the 800's. I can probably turn up the boost but my turbo will be on kill mode.

a t3 .82 would be the minimum hotside i would run on the 6466...

a .63 would choke the **** out of the turbo...lol

Off course, I will run t3 .82 vband . I will never run a .63 on a turbo that big because I will loose power instead .

the 6466 definitely out classes the 3586, the 3794 would be more of a comparable turbo to the 6466. either one will get you where you need to go

Yea, but you wouldn't want to run the turbo past 44 psi lol, that's just scary to do.

True, you are correct. I forgot in his power levels he will need the bigger turbine manifold.

Don't know why me driving a Cobalt SS has anything to do with that.

Fwiw, my car with a 6466 makes right at 900, and was limited by my ignition(SpoolinUP COP) from pushing it farther.

I'm only running Cosworth M2 cams, and the BR ported stock IM/TB too.

Should probably add, this is with E98.

Wow 900hp is sick . I'm going to buy the 6466 and give it a shot. I was planing to update the intake manifold to a new Ams f1 but, I want to see how much power the 6466 will make over the 3586 on the exact same Engine/setup. I think using a bigger intake manifold will make the car laggier because I have a unported head.

Maybe messing with some cam tables after the turbo swap it can help flow even without a ported head. The manifold shouldn't make too much lag honestly. BTW do you have a dyno of the 781whp pull, I would love to see that curve.
