Question What are your ultimate Horsepower goals?

Hey,

I just wanna know what type of WHP is everyone ultimately shooting for. I know I want 400-415whp by the time I'm done (currently at 310whp) but I wanna see what everyone else is shooting for.

Hooptie

300whp is good enough for me.. i dont want to compromise streetability... oh and no way in hell am i screwing around with idle quality or puffing up huge clouds of black smoke with no cat

400 on 93 pump and 450+ on race is my goal but to do it the right way so it can last. It is hard to not get into a hurry because so many parts are still being released. Anyone can build a motor but only a few can build one that will last and that is the right way to do it.

yeah, 300whp would be ideal for me also. I like the idea of having a very reliable and streetable car that is also quick, and I don't think that the Evo will have any problems everyday running 300hp

I would be comlpletely happy with 400 whp on 93 octane as well. I also want to maintain the every day drivability of the car. Which is a big reason I decided to go with Buschur. I am on the list for their complete stage 3 and that will go a long way in getting me to my goal.

I'd like to get to 400WHP on 93 octane WITH a cat. I'm running the BR stage 3 set up with a BuschurFlash and so far it is VERY streetable. There is a slight lumpiness with the idle but nothing offensive to my tastes. I feel the compromises have been minimal and are mainly centered around noise levels and of course fuel economy. Both the intake and exhaust are aggressive sounding but I doubt these levels would be greatly elevated when, just for example, moving to a BR stage 5 setup with a larger turbo.

If Tym & David at Buschur can deliver an upgrade that delivers 400WHP AND is streetable in terms of drivability, emissions, boost threshold and lag, I'll go for it. Otherwise I'll stop at their stage 4 (~350 to 360whp) which appears is where the stock turbo runs out of steam.

Of course all this talk of wheelhorse power is pretty much meaningless unless we're all using the same dyno. Taking that into consideration I think I'd be scared enough with the car turning in high 11s to low 12s.

Of course it can, for a few seconds.

I think the limit you're going to run into is either that pump gas or ridiculous lag with anything over 430ishWHP.

Good luck to you, though.

300-350, depending on how much I'll get with simple mods.
Pump gas a must.
