Cold Exhaust Runner Cylinder 1
I wish I could try that right now but unfortunately I won't have the time or resources to do the injector test before I bring it out to you guys Friday, this week is insane.
If you guys could give that a shot for me before/during the 02 dump install I would appreciate it. Since we have confirmed compression is fine, new plugs/wires/coils are in and it is still -100 degrees when warm, I would hope it is a leaky injector. Something else in the back of my mind, is I wonder if the injector driver in the ECU got smoked when the resistor pack went ( one of the two times). Fun fun.

So the prognosis on the cold cylinder, was that it is normal.
My gut instinct is telling me otherwise, based on the fact that the car is still running like poop for the first few minutes after it starts. The new 02 sensor brought my mpg back up to 23ish mixed which I am very happy with, but I am still left with a sense that something is not quite right. In the morning when the car starts the exhaust is super sweet smelling, and has a prominent whiteish smoke until the car is hot.

I think you know full well what that likely signifies...you have coolant leaking into cylinder 1, likely when you shut the car off after getting it warmed up, as it cools down in the driveway/garage. The cylinder pumps it out through the exhaust when you start it up the next time, then once it's cleared out, the cylinder runs fine again. This could potentially be messing with your O2 readings as well. Let's hope it's the head gasket. Worse would be a warped cylinder head or porous passageway from a coolant channel into the combustion chamber. Those could require cylinder head replacement. Let's hope for the former!
Only problem with this theory is that I am noticing literally zero coolant loss. Very confusing.
I guess the volume it is burning could be so small I wouldn't tell? Compression test should have indicated a problem here, and STM just did one and they insist the readings are fine.
The car still doesn't feel 100%, I am swapping the MAF this weekend with a new air cleaner as well and we will see if it wakes up.
