Loss of boost

It's been awhile since I had my evo and now I wanna mod it, but I've been reading several threads about people losing boost. I was thinking about the HKS RS intake for starters. Then HKS catback, and HKS downpipe. So my question is will the HKS RS intake lose boost on a stock Evo, and what can I get/do to prevent losing boost.

I found with my aftermarket exhaust that the boost spiked a bit since it spooled a little faster, and would boost at 20psi as opposed to 19 or so though that could be weather related. But some form of boost control is a good idea, I had to remove all of my hardware except the exhaust and air filter to get my car serviced recently and hadn't put the stuff back on.

Everyone's hardware is a little different so you may indeed find you get a little lower boost.. But from personal experience and talking with other evo owners who have modified their cars, the boost generally remained the same or went up slightly.. some with aftermarket intercoolers found their boost dropped a little and they had to use boost control to bring it back up.
