Question on VIN numbers on drivetrain parts

Out of curiosity, I wanted to ask which parts of the drivetrain have VINs attached? I know that the muscle cars of the 60s command a high premium when they are "matching numbers". Not saying this will be the same for Evos in the future, but you never know... So what I'm wondering is what parts should you save off your Evo if you're doing a motor and turbo swap, assuming you want to keep the parts that have VINs attached? What would be the minimum to keep? e.g. bare block, the turbo itself, etc.

Thanks!

Block VIN is under/near thermostat housting. right near the head, flat surface.

Vin of trans is on the flat part near the turbo.bellhousing end.

Ok, thank you. So those are the only items that have VINs in the drivetrain? Just want to make sure. Thanks!

Does the head have a VIN stamped on? Or the turbo?
