Stage 1 MAPerformance Shortblock 2.0

Hey guys I just wanted to get some advice on these MAP shortblocks for my EVO 8. Unfortunately, I bought my Evo with a bad engine. I thought I may as well replace the current stock 2.0 with a reinforced shortblock so I can perform upgrades later down the line without having to worry about the bottom end. Ive been doing some research and saw that the MAP shortblocks seems to be a good route. My question is, has anyone had experience with these?

There are no mods on the evo. Its completely stock.

Thanks!

Hi everybody

I'm also looking for the MAP STAGE 1 and need some Input about this.

My Option would be:
- OEM Crankshaft
- Manley 150mm H-Beam
- Wiseco Standard Forged / 85.5mm Bore (.020" Over)

I would say that the good choice would be BW I beam rods (or H beams if on budget) and Mahle racing pistons. Those will be OE quiet and work at that power level. Everything is available in the UK. As a matter of fact I built an engine using BW H beams and Mahle racing pistons, running 470 hp / 550 Nm tq
