Recently did a round of mods including a ported intake manifold. I had to remove the spiderweb of wiring in that area and i'm guessing that it's just a loose connector.

Anyhow, the code is a P1021 as stated which is the intake engine oil control valve circuit.

Does anybody know what this actually is? I've searched but could only find a few threads that had no results.

Some say that it is the mivec solenoid. Where is this located at? Left rear of the engine? does anyone know what the connector looks like for it?

 

Mivec solenoid. Pass rear of engine. 2 wire plug. Hook a noid light to it and see if it flashes when you rev the engine. If not repair wiring. If so then replace solenoid.
