Well we can agree to disagree My stock block Evo IX has carried me through DE1-4, well into NASA TT over nearly 4 years and has only left the track not-running one time, and that was mechanic error (me, left some wiring too close to the exhaust manifold, melted-dead short).

And rocker arm broke? WTF? How does that even happen?

Well with stuff like that I can understand. I do all my own wrenching and spend countless hours working on the car, but, it's a race car now and that just comes with the territory....

I got lucky and bought a bone stock IX with 25k on the clock. Had never been modded. Buying a used Evo can be risky. Too many people do stupid things to them, then do half baked jobs of trying to de-mod them before selling them.

I can also build you a long block for pretty cheap if you want to go that route.

If you wana sell it let me know. Im in the market to buy a fixer upper to turn into my daily as my current Evo is no longer a daily.
So, I'm the original poster. The "survey/vote" thing was a gimmick to see if I could get some feedback from the community; I was feeling a little desperate and felt I needed it. Thanks again to you guys who responded. I wound up getting it rebuilt by one of the guys who reponded, evolve_viii. The review of the build is here:

I went through that one, had to do the rebuild myself ;(

But you cant be serious about a junkyard? Either sell it broken or fix!
