Fp green oil leak? Turbo expert needed!
Obviously FP is closed next 4 days so I'm looking for some advice. Turbo is under warranty. Just took the exhaust housing off to repair a broke off bolt and noticed some baked on oil in the v-band clamp and bottom of the housing.
My buddy said its normal for the seals to leak a little new and I'm fine since none of the oil is wet. I didn't have any oil like this on my 80k mile stocker.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I've heard of some people having crank case pressure issues causing the oil to leak from the turbos v band clamp sure to just pressure through the oil return line. Has your dip stick popped at all?

I have a few questions...
1) What kind of FP green is it? Journal bearing or ball bearing?
2) Does the compressor wheel have any play in it?
3) What kind of oil are you using?
4) Are you using the high pressure feed line from the oil filter housing?
If it's a journal bearing turbo and the compressor wheel has play in it, your journal bearing is shot and it needs to be sent back to FP for repair (or an upgrade to a ball bearing).
If it's a ball bearing, you might be having crankcase pressure issues. Using a catch can setup can help alleviate this issue.
