ON DESOLATE DESERT ROADS... even made runs over the two 7 and 10 mile mountain passes we have in the area at speed over 120... and 150 when i was running against my friends bikes. if i had to put a number on it i would say 150 passes at the track, 100-125 passes at 150+, and easily 50 passes over the mountains at speeds over 120...

all that beating... and all the abuse a short throw can put on the system... and my 41k miles on my 6spd never did it a bit of harm.

all the hype about the 6spd being a glass box in my opinion is failures due to abuse and not it being weak in itself... i wont say it will hold up to 600tq... show me a transmission that can happily without an issue... but i will bet if you treat it right, use the right fluids, and drive like you should then it will be fine at reasonable power levels...

i think that this is the exception and not the rule. ive seen 6 speeds take a crap at 350whp. like someone else said before go with the ultimate ratio 5 speed and call it a day. who wants to worry about their transmission all the time?

My cousin's MR SE is at 120xxx with stock clutch and 350torque. No issues at all if you don't beat on it all the time.

On stock clutch? That's impressive
