Ti Exhaust, for DD/Track-Day, yes or not?

So am considering Ti exhaust:
Because I like the look, the sound, and the low weight.

I DD and will track the car: Tracks in California have sound limits, so loud is not acceptable, and for DD I am annoyed with drone and noise, plus I drive small children to school.

One exhaust that I know will likely meet my needs is Fujitsubo Ti, but that is virtually impossible to get right now.

Do any of the other available on the market meet the criteria of moderate noise?

For example, JiC Ti RESONATED?
Anybody else offer resonated Ti to attenuate any drone and such?

Please give me your feeback and experience, your advice.
Noise is not good, some noise is OK, and nice tone is great, but loud is out of the question.

thanks

Only track in cali I know with a sound restriction is laguna seca. I got kicked off for being too loud. I will be going to a track this weekend and I can confirm this. But I have been to thill, sears point, willow springs, buttonwillow, CVR, cali speedway and they all do not have a noise restriction.

As for ti exhaust not sure if you can still get them but the tomei is nice. If noise is an issue you can always muffle it via resonators.

Btw I have a miata too. Love those little cars.

I have the fujitsubo setup, and on track days at Laguna seca I use a ghetto elbow Home Depot venting setup that deflects sound just enough. The fujitsubo is pretty quiet for DD, which my car also does, and it does not drone at all. At idle it's super stock quiet.

Like skill attic said, only seca has the noise issues. I have ran everything except thunder hill. So I wouldn't purchase based on track noise issues, but rather just DD. for seca you can buy a setup like mine for the day and screwit on. You can even use fancy restrictions too.

In DD I wish my car sounded a bit more manly and a bit less..... Um...... Like a miata!!,

The fujitsubo setup is so good that it mutes the motor too much for the times I want it a bit bassier.

Is the Fujitsubo Ti or SST?

And yes, the noise concern is DD. I don't like noise, don't like rumble and drone.

I also notice in your signature shep built 6 speed: is this one with stronger gears?

Bump for more input,
Anybody experienced specifically JIC TI Resonated?

hey, I have a Miata...turbo of course, and its not loud, but has nice tone ...
There are a few Miatas that we have to be afraid off... Tony Colicchio 1.53 at Thill, Matt Andrews Time Attack Miata turbo, Emilio 949Racing, Andrew of Trackspeed Engineering, and than not to mention all the LSx Miatas....

Back to Ti Exhaust for Evo: what may be reasonably quiet for DD?

I have the Greddy Ti-R, test pipe, and down pipe. It drones pretty loud. I like it, but I wouldn't want to have a good conversation while driving.

I have the hks carbon-ti n it's pretty quiet so long as you don't have an exhaust leak like me. I have no cat and its still at a deep quiet rumble enuff where I don't have to yell to talk to my wife like I did with the magnaflow I had. And when you get on it it's deeper, not quiet subie deep but not ricey tin can of marbles like the magnaflow.

It's the Ti.

Yes the custom 3,4,5 gear sets. The loudest thing on my car is the TRE built rear diff though.

I also have the fujitsubo super ti. The resonator definitely helps with controlling the loudness. I bought mine from tein USA 2 years ago, give them a try since they are the us distributors.

Exhaust noise is really subjective. I don't personally believe any Ti exhaust is quiet. If you have concerns for sounds, check out the custom ultra quiet exhaust thread where the member used 2 Magnaflow mufflers. If you really want the Ti exhaust, consider fabricating a resonated test pipe with a large resonator.

You must have the 1.5 or 2 way locking option? Drove my friend's track car with TRE diff and hard mounts, and it whines like crazy. I don't mind it, but someone who dd might get annoyed for long distance driving.
