Evo 9 Stock turbo O2 Dump

I had on my car a Turboback exhaust,ETS intake, ported turbo,Megan 02 housing and made 361/352 on 93. Recently installed MAP O2 dump, ported exhaust manifold, muffler delete by exhaust tip (now straight pipe) and went for a retune and only made 345/346. LESS POWER! Then threw in E85 and final numbers were 380/381.Could this be from the Dump Tube running on stock turbo that i made less power on 93? Only things i changed after making 345/346 were my intake filter i went from a K&N to a Vibrant filter, the ported exhaust manifold over stock exhaust manifold, the MAP dump tube over the Megan and cut off the muffler by the tip so its a complete straight pipe ehhaust now and got tuned during the day in 90 degree weather when as the first time it was at night time in colder weather. Should i go back to Megan 02 housing and K&N filter or throw muffler back on and get retuned again or back on the dyno to see if i can get that 15whp back i lost? I gave as much detail as i could think of guys let me know -thanks.

Temperature will play a huge factor in how much power your car makes. I would definitely stick with the new parts you installed. O2 dumps have been proven time and time again to give a good bump in HP even on stock turbos. I'm guessing the loss your seeing is mainly due to the difference in temps but I wouldn't be surprised if you have a boost leak somewhere too. Was the car run on the same dyno each time? The dyno operator should have given you corrected numbers for the temperature each time.

Yes it was done on the same dyno. An I did have two skinny little black hoses unplugged by the intake manifold at the top.We zip tied those back shut but to be honest fixed those two and started to dyno. Idk now to properly check for a boost leak.

Lol that was an expensive egr system!

Look into dyno and egr effects of open dumps. Some of your seemingly fresh air could have been replaced with exhaust gas.

My dump did not work properly because I had the wrong o2 dump gasket. It was leaking exhaust gas out the dump

The correct one is separated

I didnt put a gasket for the dump tube my shop and on this forum site everyone claimed to make sure an NOT use a gasket when installing the dump. Thinking maybe its the lower Intercooler pipe I have to check and take off the bumper for or maybe bolts are bad on dump tube an I need new ones .

No it needs the proper gasket to work right. It also needs lots of fans in front of the car to keep the exhaust from recirculating into the intake and killing power. Sounds like it might 0/2 right now.

Oh ok from what I was told everyone at my local shop AWD Motorsports an on these forums said no gasket is needed it will actually cause leaks. An It seems the leak sound from the exhaust goes away once my cars warmed up fully an I drive on te street. So I think its just something to do with the o2 dump getting hotter rather then on a cold startooks like my lower Intercooler pipe hose the one closest to the wastegate an turbo looks slightly loose or like pipes coming out of it. May check that out also an go for a ride an see if there's an difference in power.... Could that slight minor pipe being off cause a 12-15whp loss that I saw on the dyno?

Just jacked up the car and took down all the bottom splashguards and looking under the car found that the Lower Intercooler pipe that connects to the turbo outlet pipe was ...Starting to come off. Not fill off buy there was a slight opening and I know I deff didnt install my lower Intercooler pipe a year ago an not catch that.i feel like over time it came loose but bout to go for a drive now and see if there's any difference in power at all or if that 15whp feeling came back doubt it though it probably had less then half an inch till it came off though so maybe I did fix something weel see.
