I have searched everywhere and can't even find it listed as a product. Where can you buy this helix tranny oil?

You can buy/order it from a Ferrari dealer. I get it for free because we have a bunch left over from the Ferrari Challenge.

No, the gear oil in the Masserati is different, it is a Shell product but it is not the Helix oil.

BTW Shell Helix gear oil retails for $70 per quart here in Arizona!

As far as I can tell (searching the web, Shell's website) Shell Helix is an engine lubricant. Spirax is their gear oil.

To my knowledge the Ferrari gear oil is not available through the regular Shell distributor in North America but only through Ferrari dealers (correct me if I am wrong on this).

Shell Spirax is their regular synthetic gear oil and it is a good product. It comes in a variety of grades but all of them are GL5.
