Tomei Arms plus new engine - 2.0 or 2.3?

Hey guys. Few weeks ago I've installed my Tomei Arms turbo in my stock Evo 7. I am now replacing my head gasket and by the way i'm building new engine - forged pistons/rods etc. I am not sure which option could be better for daily use and which will be more reliable - 2.0 or maybe 2.3? I can have them in the same price...
I am happy with this turbo, so it will stay for awhile in car.

Thanks

Almost in the same boat as you.. I choose 2.3. My car should be tuned in like 2 weeks time.

I'll go 2.0 with the right turbo, like that you get the max MPH, and rev's

2.3 for sure
waaay more driveability
even with S2 cams that affect low rpm drive quite a bit, I can crawl @1000 rpm through city traffic with my 2.3

Why build a 2.3 from the start then?

Because without HIM doing it then YOU and I would not have the luxury of this info for discussion.

The question is if it makes sense for me to build 2.3 with that small turbo? I know, that I will have strong low range, but at the top engine can eat my whole boost

If you don't live you life a quarter miles at a time, go 2.3L! It will be wicked fun on that turbo.

Just takes a lot to get the 2.3L in the sweat spot , lower revs you need the right gearing and if your not push 600awhp to move those gears you lose the fun. but not ever one is a speed demon. If I had to do it again I would go 2.0 or 2.1 something that doesn't kill my rev's and mph.

What power does your 2.3 make and what turbo do you have

if i did it again i would run a 64 block 2.2l long rod... toque+rpm mated to my 4.0fd it would be pretty sick... i'd also not run a stock frame turbo... what a ****ed up journey thats been...

I had a few turbo's on my 2.3

PTE6262 600awhp on pump 93 octane , C-16 720ish awhp

PTE6765 650awhp on pump 93 octane, C-16 780awhp

HTA86 680awhp on C-16 made about 550awhp on pump93

I had a few other setup and dyno sheets, stock turbo on 2.3 , 3076 and so on. Hope that helps with your choice.
