2.3 here, with no balance shafts, oem pulley and oem mounts
almost 45K miles on the engine and haven't had any issue with unbolting oil filter or any other bolts

How is vibration at idle?
Using stock mounts, or Poly?
Does it vibrate steering/dash etc at idle?

I used OEM delete parts, like Buschur.
The issue is at idle. Only at idle. I am not using Fluidamper- only have 120 miles on the engine, but as of today I am convinced I should use Fluidamper based on 94AWD video posted and feedback.

I hope Fluidamper can help at least a little the vibration at idle.
Mostly, I want it for the long term reliability.

I am evaluating the options of installing the balance shafts again: it seems to be doable with engine-hoist and car on the lift, allowing the whole assembly to be lowered to clear passenger frame rail.

If anybody has experience chime-in or PM

2.4, no balance shafts. AMS delete in the front so it still retains the shaft itself but the weights are machined. This way you are not depending on just the little stub shaft to keep the oil pump drive gear aligned. I see a high of 8000-8500 rpm. No issues in 2 years and tons of street, strip, autox and road course racing.

I have stock mounts and the fluidampr.

the GSC BS delete kit is the same as the AMS kit

that's some high rpm for 2.4, how often do you track? I'm more concert about track since this will be mostly a track car, so the engine will spend more time in the upper rpm range.

I'll be retaining my balance shafts in the same setup, I've reached the max value of NVH I'm willing to accept.

Actual track events are about 4-5 each summer. But street is about every weekend its not raining and sometimes during the week if its nice out. I see around 8K on the street but not at the track. Too many turns to hit that kind of range.

As far as vibration goes its very minimal to me. I know keeping the stock mounts help. My butt NVH tester approves. I did a recent build for a customer and the vibration I noticed in his car between mine is a noticable difference but not huge. He wanted to keep his balance shafts as it is 99% stock.
