6766 2.0 street car... .63ar?

Running stock motor with supporting mods and kelfords 272s. I am considering my .63 housing while the motor is still stock and putting the larger .86 I have on after I build the motor and need more power. Thoughts?

Car is totally street driven. I don't feel like I am giving up much on the top end, especially on the stock motor. My theory is it will make it much more pleasant to drive and not feel so lazy.

Help with experience is appreciated.

Thank you

It's a 6766. It's going to be laggy no matter what. But yes the smaller housing will help. As for losing top end with it.. your not going to touch the turbos sweet spot with the stock motor so I don't think it will matter.

It will be very lazy either way but the smaller housing should help spool a little bit.

No. You dont buy a big turbo and then choke it with a small housing. You buy the right turbo for the powerband you want and make the best power you can. Small housings on big turbos can make spool worse.

6266 with V band 0.63 if you must but the 0.82 is a better option. The 6766 is pointless until you are past 45psi.
