Did you just go through a turbo install?

Faisalm

No still have the narrowband. I'm not doing the constant open loop thing.

No I was asking XxAznxX lol... Let us know what happens though. Could just be vacuum lines or something simple just as you stated.

you probably have a leak before the wideband o2 sensor location.

check exhaust manifold gasket,
turbo flange gasket, o2 dump gasket etc etc for leakage. air is leaking in the exhaust stream and skewing your readings at idle, when u press throttle u increase the exhaust velocity which then makes the wideband go from full lean to the state u see.

a missing o2 sensor will most likely make the car run richer on idle not lean.

Hmm i know for a fact that i have an exhaust leak on my o2 to downpipe area, but would it really lean it out that much?

your mixture isnt actually that lean, the wideband is just detecting the external air from the leak. i wouldnt advise a tune up until all leaks are fixed.

You are right! I checked and the O2 Housing gasket was not put on. Installing soon

The secondary factory O2 has been umm.... removed and replaced with the stunningly accurate AEM Wideband O2. BTW the first sensor in the setup is alive and well. Installing an new turbo won't kill my sensors but it will kill radiators lol.

UPDATE:
I just got a radiator ready to pick up tomorrow. So that will be fixed but the entire tuning process is going to be dicked up if I can't get that freakin gauge to cut it out.

So this means the OEM O2 sensor on the o2 housing is intact and fine correct? During a turbo install it is easy to mess up a o2 sensor due to the location on the o2 housing......swap out the OEM sensor on the o2 housing for a new one and report back and fix the gasket at the same time

If its a bigger turbo it will read lean hence more air flow..but i think you have an exhaust leak think about it what else could it be?

Where in the exhaust did you find it? I won't be able to work on mine until tomorrow. I'm betting on mine being the O2 Housing (gasket which is missing).

Okay so, I'm going to get my gasket between the turbo and o2 housing replaced. I'm going to head over to Moore Automotive and just get all new metal gaskets. Did the soapy test and bubbles were shooting out of that spot. Some of the suds literrally shot out of the the bay-- so I'm thinking that's the spot.
