Acceleration cut out

I just put in a stage 2 clutch and replaced my ACD pump for the diff a couple weeks ago and now when I hit 4,500 RPMs my acceleration stops completely even when I'm pushing on the gas. I don't know if this is related to the job I just had done or not. Can someone help me out?

what does it sound like? did you check all your IC pipe couplers? any CELs?

It sounds like it's sputtering a bit when it decelerates, but when I hit 4,500 RPMs with my foot still on the gas it's like me pushing on the gas has no affect until I drop down to at least 3,500 RPMs. I'm still new to these cars, trying to learn as I go. I'm not sure what the IC pipe couplers are or CEL's are.

Okay I don't have a regular check engine light, my airbag light has been on since my ACD pump failed about a month ago, just go that and my clutch replaced but he light is still on. Also when I got the car back from the shop whenever I start her up first thing in the morning it fails to hold at idle for a few minutes so I have to apply about 1500 to 2000 RPMs for a minute or so before it will idle without stalling out, and the idle sounds off

P0113 - faulty intake air temp sensor
p0102 - might be a bad MAF sensor
p0229 - faulty throttle position sensor

do you know anyone else with an evo local to you? maybe you can swap out the MAF sensor to see if thats it.

A bad MAF sensor could cause that, so check that out.

Aren't those the exact three codes that pop up when you forget to plug the maf back in? I had that happen once and those exact 3 codes came up. Except if the maf was unplugged you would know it. Would barely run at all. But it certainly wouldn't hurt to check really quick and make sure its plugged in all the way.

Thank you guys for all the inputs. I'm taking it back to the place that did the job on the clutch and ACD pump and see if I can get this fixed. Is there any way to single out and verify that it is the mag sensor? And is this an easy fix?

So a bad maf sensor could cause the misfiring at 4,500 RPMs?

I yanked this picture of the internet for reference. the MAF is that black box next to the air filter. if you look at the bottom of it, there is a plug that goes into it. make sure that is plugged in.

our cars use the MAF to send air flow signals to the computer. if the computer can't calculate the airflow, it starts bugging out in a similar manner that you are describing

also. if that is plugged in, you can have a possible boost leak from somewhere. the best way to diagnose where that could be coming from being that cars are new to you, would be to take the car to a trusted performance shop and have them perform a boost leak test and a smoke test if they are equipped with the machine. this can tell where in the pressurized system air is leaking causing your MAF to bug out which in turn is causing the car to run as you describe. this would be the best place to start as it sounds like a boost leak you're describing.

Thanks! Great info, I'll check the plug and get those tests run. Thanks for the help
