Oil residue around filler cap

Hey guys so on my evo 9 i always find a little bit of oil residue on the valve cover right by the filler cap. Its been doing it for a while but i was just curious as to if this is normal? I am still on the stock 90k bottom end however i had the head rebuilt around 3000 miles ago. It does not have the oem oil cap it has some motorad cap (was on the car when i purchased it). Im going to buy an oem cap and see if that fixes the problem. Im just curious as to if this is normal thing. The car runs great doesnt burn a drop of oil and 1500 miles into my oil change the oil still looks almost new.

Remove the valve. Blow through it. Air should pass freely in one direction and seal completely when trying to blow the other direction. Next wipe mouth and spit a few times.
