STM aluminum exhaust with muffler

Anyone have input on how loud the STM aluminum with muffler (3" tip) catback is? I know they make the cat replacement resonator too, but i want to avoid removing the cat. I currently have the TurboXS RFL TI catback, and its a little on the too loud side.

thanks in adavance.

There is a couple of videos on YouTube but not much. I too would like to know how loud it is. Getting bored of my HKS Sport. Not to mention it's starting to rust.

Yea, I saw those youtube vids. They don't really do a good job of giving anything to compare to though.

How is your HKS sport? I was leaning towards that system, but then I realize it was made of mild steel, and is probably heavy too.

Search recent trbotaxi videos as his car has the 3 inch aluminum exhaust on it. It also has a test pipe and open dump off the wastegate but I think the car is fairly quiet for what it is

I have their aluminum exhaust on the Evo and it is pretty great. Not excessively loud, quiet in the car, but does have a badass sound from the outside. I love it. Sometimes I think it is too quiet (in car driving), but it is nice and loud outside. I never worry about getting hassled by the cops for noise because it idles and cruises great. WOT is a different story

How long have you had the exhaust? How is it holding up?

Truthfully its not that heavy but of course it will be heavier than the STM catback. It also tapers inside the muffler.

But overall i cant complain it sounds good and it was alittle quieter at highway speeds than what i had before

saying its quiet is completely subjective. especially when you dont have anything else to compare it to in your "quiet" description. and then you say its loud at full throttle. all exhaust can actually be described that way. pretty quiet at cruise, loud at full throttle.

I emailed STM, and no response yet. I might just pull the trigger, and hope it's not ridiculously loud.

It is subjective but I do not have a video of it and videos do not always capture the sound very well. It is quiet inside the car, loud enough outside.

The exhaust was on the car when I bought it about 7 months ago. No issues with it.

Holds up great. I only trailer it to the track and drive it around on nice days around town. No problems at all!
