I have a question for all you guys that have modded your Evos.
If I get an electronic Boost Controller and a test pipe to replace the cats and an aftermarket muffler, do I still need a modified chip from Vishnu or Works? How much more would I gain from the ship if I already have the exhaust and electronic Boost Controller? Any info would be appreceiated. Thanks!

You will get decent gains just from the mods you've added.. However without the tuning for the new found boost and slightly less restriction, you will not get the full benefit of your changes.
Boost and minor exhaust mods should be good for 20 or so HP.. with good tuning, you can probably pick up another 20 or more..
(this is just an estimate, your results will vary on what your boost levels are, the car's condition, the exhaust components you choose, and the gas you run)
you've only made minor changes, but the gains will definitely be worthwhile to get the tuning to go with the mods.
Works, Vishnu, Dynoflash all offer ECU Flashes. But you have other options such as Piggyback setups, it all depends on what your looking for, if your frequently upgrading or changing hardware, then something like the UTEC or XEDE might be an option, albeit a bit on the pricey side..
Do a quick search on tuning (S-AFC, Piggyback, etc..) you'll find more than enough information to help you make the choice.
There's no requirement that you HAVE to do anything from what you already have if you are already satisfied with what you have gained so far.

If I get an ECU reflash wouldn't the tuner company doing the reflash need to know that I have a BC and aftermarket exhaust in order for the remapped ECU to work well?
In other words, is it a serial addition of performane where the ECU can just be added on OR does the ECU have to be remapped with consideration to the fact that I already have a BC and exhaust?
Thanks!
