What is a IAC V from the 3G DSM or Galant that is cheaper, improvement over oem, and compatible with the evo?

1. I have read in posts that people said, ebay, amazon, and STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS AC571 work hit or miss?
   
2. I also read that the dsm/Galant part # was suppose to be better because it is made out of metal instead of plastic?
   
3. I was hoping to get a IACV from the local parts store because my evo is not very drivable and I do not want to wait for one in the mail.

 

Anyone know tonight?

i feel your pain cuz i ws dealing with the same dilemma ($$$). the amazon iac works flawlessly, and the price was like $48 + $12 for shipping, i believe.

Status update:
I figured buying a new ebay one for $21 was better than trying to find a used oem one for $50 that could go bad at any time too! I went ahead and ordered this IACV from the recommended ebay seller below:

So far it seems to be working, but my car is not fully tuned. My car starts and idles at this point. When my evo is fully running and tuned to the full horsepower, I will update my findings with this IACV!

Status update:

I parked my evo last 03/27/2015:
I put the ebay IACV in and it seemed to be working maybe? However, my car quit running and I am not sure if it was the IACV or the tune?

Just picked up my evo 10/10/2015 after being stored since 03/27/2015:
My shop (RS Motors) did not have any luck with ebay and may be hit or miss? They only recommend oem so I got a used evo 9 version with exposed spring with (50K). I picked up my car last Saturday and drove it 4hrs home.

I still have my ebay IACV, but will not be running it and keeping it only as a backup!

I will update 1 more time after I have been driving me evo for a while, thanks!
