If all you're looking for is 500awhp, H-beams will be fine. Take a look at a Cosworth FSL HG and a FP black. Try to stay away from JB turbos.

What is your budget? I wouldn't be considering a jb 6262.... are you dead set on a 2.4?

Wiseco's will be fine, what do you plan to bore your cylinders to? and h-beams should be okay. Personally I would go with I-beams just in case you decide that you want more than 500hp after you finish this build. It'll save you money in the long run even though they are more expensive.
As for a head gasket, when I did my 4g63 head swap on my 3G eclipse, I just used a felpro stock replacement 4g64 head gasket. The 4g63 won't fit. As for turbo, my preference would be the 6466 but that's up to you.

thanks what is so bad about jb turbos i no the spool up is more lag then bb turbo but having a 2.4 i didn't think it matters to much?

for a turbo $1000-1500 is i was to get a bb turbo what would you recommend from pte? and yes dead set on 4g64 as i got a good block and crank for less than $50USD from my local scrap yard as in new zealand 4g64s are alot more common.

Hi im hoping i can get away with keeping it at 86.5 but if not 87mm and get the block o-ringed for extra protection. Im still deciding on what rods im looking at manley i-beams i may get them depending on what the shipping price is to new zealand. And would that be a bb 6466?

If you are making a 2.4, go with the I-beams. Its not the horse power that breaks the rods, its the torque. With a 2.4L wanting to make more torque, it would be very stupid to put in the h-beams and have them snap at any time. If you have a good tuner, you can have them tune out some torque.

Im running a JB Black with no problems. Not sure why that would matter a whole lot. BB turbos are more expensive, more money to rebuild and you only gain a couple hundred RPM of spool if that.

You can probably find a decent black or red that would suit your needs or the 6262 will come on pretty nicely. Probably too large for your needs since it likes to be making 600hp+ on the 2.4L.

Im running the JE Proseal head gasket with no issues spiking 45psi. L19 head studs. It is not o-ringed either. You can order what bore you want from them.

Buy what's in my signature block and you'll be just fine. I'm running a Cometic HG that English Racing sources for their 2.4 builds. My shop called ER and got it from them. I'm only at 27psi right now because the fuel pump was maxed so I'll be switching to double pumper depending on my tax return haha.

I would recommend boring them to 87mm. After time, the cylinders can lose their shape and become more oval shaped. And the pte 6466 is a precision turbo. Pte means precision turbo engines. From what I hear, it's pretty much the biggest turbo you want to use on the street because it still reaches full spool at a decent rpm. The pte 6266 is very popular as well.

I have an Exedy twin HD. It chaters a little bit on deceleration but not too bad. Its way easier to drive than an ACT HD. The ACT has a very hard pressure plate. I have been very happy with the exedy but Im sure plenty people have mixed experiences on what to use.
