Unhappy AYC/ACD-relay not getting signal

Got three lights on my Evo 7, rebuilt the pump and bled the system. But when i start the car the three lights come on after a while.
I noticed that the pump never even starts so i check the relay, the relay works fine and there is power to the relay and i checked the connection from the relay to the pump which was fine too.
If i have the ignition on there is only one light, if i pull the relay the three lights instantly comes on, so the wires from the ECU to the relay must be fine. In order to see if it ever tries to activate the relay i made two wires so that i could measure the voltage across the relay (across the small pins, the ones that activate the relay) but still having the relay connected. I start the car; no voltage across the relay.

Why doesn't the AYC/ACD ECU even try to start the pump? Is the ECU broken or is there something else that i haven't thought of? I even tried another pressure sensor in the pump...

Have you tryed the manual start?

I used this in my 8 after winter storage.

Let the car sit over night. Try to make test in an closed, QUIET room or area.
Switch IGN on, DO NOT START, wait 5 seconds, Floor the throttle for 3 seconds.
The pump should start now. You should hear that the sound changes after 4-5 seconds ( pump built up pressure ) and should sound that the pump has to work harder.
after 10-12 seconds it should switch off, and the ACD lights will NOT lit ALL.
If this works like described, the pump is fine for COLD fluid, and pressure is built up.

I just rebuilt the whole pump and relocated it to the boot (very easy to hear if its on now), then i bled the system so there is no air in it, everything done in a warm garage.
I did try the IGN On + full throttle a couple of times but to no avail. I started the car and the pump should start immediately, but it doesn't. If i let it sit on idle the three lights come on after about 3 minutes, the pump never runs during this. If i try to drive the lights come on quicker.

For some reason the solenoid to the pump never gets the signal to switch on.

This is how my pump is set up now (this is before bleeding so there is still some air in the reservoir), the switches you can spot hanging in the wires next to the battery are switches that goes to the solenoids and pump in order to bleed the system without any special tool:

Does the pump start when you put 12v direcly on it?

The relay is activated when the ACD/AYC module puts 12v on pin 2 on the relay.

Do you have any faultcodes in the ECU ?

Yes the pump works fine, i have bled the system by using manual switches to the pump and the solenoids.

Pin 2 on the relay never gets any juice, so the relay never switches on. I have tried putting 12 V on the relay and it works fine.

No fault codes that i can read with a standard OBD reader, i don't have Evoscan (or whatever tool is required) so i can't see the ACD/AYC fault codes. I would suspect that it probably just complains about low pressure or something.

The fuse to the AYC pump relay was blown. Just replaced it and reset the fault code by pulling the battery connector.

I made a guide on to how to bleed the AYC pump on the Swedish evoclub forum, it's in Swedish but I guess you can use Google translate. There are some wiring schematics and explanations on how the system works:

Hope it helps.

Its one of the fuses that are located on the battery connector (transparent covers):
