Evo 9 with factory oil cooler; I have always wondered why my Oil Temperature Gauge reads low, around 140-160 never any higher. I always assumed it was just a bad reading but then learned of the existence of the Oil Thermostat. I believe my thermostat is not working and therefore never bypassing the oil cooler. Has anyone had similar experiences or a bad thermostat? I took it out and boiled it, nothing moved until it reached over 200*... It could also be aftermarket since i bought the car used, i found the inscription AKB on it. Any info would be appreciated! Oil is never getting hot enough!
