New to the EVO club, couple of moding theories
Hey guys just like to start by saying this place is great tons of info and cool people. I have about 800 miles on the car and I really like it. Came from an Audi S4 which is a pig compaired to the EVO. But the S4 is a lot more luxurios, different cars different things..
So here are my observations on one hand you have Vishnu who makes great equipment and packages but does the power increases a little differently than most of the other tuners. He uses the stock selinoid where other tuners are using a boost controllers. No aftermarket air filter and most others are using everything from panel to suction type filters. Then we move onto cam gears and fuel pumps to injectors. Dynoflash and Buschur all have great gains but use a different approach. Looking for some insight to some of the different methods of making power.
Oh by the way there is a lot of questions about leather. I have mitsu certified leather in my Evo, cost me about 1k and it came out great.

do you really want leather in an evo? i've never driven a sports car with leather but if your into taking those sharp turns (especially in a track), i'd figure the leather make you slide all over unless your strapped down by 4-pt harness... then again a 4-pt harness would look super strange on leather seats hehe
I know that Buschur's approach to power is with everyday drivability in mind. They build fast track cars that can also be driven on the road as your every day car.
I am on the list for a complete Stage 4 install. I decided on 264/272 HKS for the cams. They have been very helpful and a plesure to do business with. David worked with me through e-mail and phone conversations for about 2 weeks to determine the best setup for me personally. From my cam choice, to new headbolts, to alcohol injection pump. He talked me out some stuff I thought I wanted and help me decide on a setup the best setup for what I plan to do with the car.
I know a few people that have various Buschur stages and are very happy with them. I hope to get my car up to them within the next week. I will be able to give more of an opinion then.
