I removed my turbo and manifold to replace some gaskets, and I wanted to know if it has been ported before or not. I'm not a person who ports things so I really don't know what to look for or what they would have touched in there. You can't see any scratches on the inside or anything like that because it's so dirty, even after I tried cleaning it out with chemtool and high pressure water. I'm going to soak it in the stuff and hit it again next week.


The reason I suspect it may be is because I found a receipt in the car, among others, when I bought it stating that it had a Buschur porting service. However also when I got the car, some things that there were receipts for aren't there any more so I don't know what has been done for sure. Was hoping you MIGHT be able to tell by some of the pictures I snapped, if not oh well. I'd rather know before I send it off to get ported, and waste money.

 

I have about 8 photos but every way I try to upload them doesn't work or they aren't clear enough to see details. Can someone just tell me things to look for? Would appreciate it! I would like to assume there would be scratches in the metal around the openings and inside on the edges where air flows around. Or maybe discoloration?
