Charge pipe?
Noob question, I have a 05 evo, and this is my first turbo car. So where is the charge pipe located?

A charge pipe on a Evo 8/9 is the licp. It is located under the front of the car on the passenger side. It's the pipe connecting the turbocharger to the intercooler

Thank you. I'm going to replace my alternator, and read that removing the charge pipe is a must. Knowing exactly where, and what it is was the last info I needed to tackle this task. Thanks again.

Just replaced my alternator yesterday, I did it in 3hrs with beer breaks. Yeah there was no need to remove the charge pipe. Don't understand why that would even be touched.

Glad ya had common sense to figure it out haha. I wouldn't be getting info from that site anymore. Hell even on the old dsms you don't need to remove any charge pipes to remove the alternator.
