tial bov question

I've installed my b.o.v.
I have upgraded to a 1/4" i.d. line back to the manifold. And I'm on speed density.

Under 5 lbs I get the compressor surge sound. Anything under half up to w.o.t. anf above 6lbs I'm get the compressor surge and then I guess the normal b.o.v. sound the wuuusssshhhh..
I don't believe this is normal. Thoughts?

Recently put the b.o.v. on and under 5 lbs of boost I'm getting the compressor surge sound.

Anything over 5 lbs I'm getting the surge then getting basically a pressure dump like other b.o.v.s is this normal?
I did replace the line to the i. Mani to a 1/4" i.d. line

What gear are you doing this in? To much load at low rpms in a higher gear will give the same effect you're describing.

Spring rate depends on vacuum at idle. Make sure you don't have any boost leaks and check out the chart at the top of this link:

is it actually compressor surge or does it sound like the bov is opening and closing quickly

if it sounds like the BOV, the spring is too stiff
