4g64 oil supply line & dipstick question

So I'm assembling the long block of my 2.4 build and I ran into a couple small issues.

The first being the oil supply line. I bought the MAP conversion kit but the adapter piece that goes into the block does not fit into the tapped hole, it's just barely too big. Anyone know what the problem here is? Could I have been sent the wrong adapter from MAP? I was under the impression that there was no hole tapping needed to be done.

Second is the dip stick. I know the 4g63 dipstick doesn't fit perfectly with the 4g64 but the dipstick doesn't even fit into the hole. It almost looks as though the original dipstick was just snapped off without it actually being pulled out. Does anyone have any idea on how to get it out? I tried putting a bolt into it from the bottom and tapping it out but it wasn't working and I didn't want to mess anything up.

Thanks

I got the dipstick taken care of and I got the adapter to thread, but I'm a little worried about stripping the threads if I keep tightening it. Here is a picture of it right now:

Should I just thread it all the way in, or will it leak if I leave it like this?

I'm guessing my PM didn't help very much. Here's a link to the mivec line installed. Hope that helps. Tightening the threads is your call as I'd hate to tell you and then the fitting snaps.
