Question Evo IV rattling/clunking noise?

Hi, my evo IV recently started making this noise which is loudest at idle beside the front left wheel. I would love to hear from anyone who was encountered a similar sound or knows what it is, thanks.

Evo IV rattling/clunking noise?

Can you get under the car and hear if it louder? Check all your plastics make sure none of them are loose and hitting anything. That would be a simple fix. Other thought goes right to internals. Were you driving it hard? Over boost? Any changes or new mods?

I first noticed it after a normal drive, and dont think its plastics because its only noticable when the engine is warm. Boost has never crept above 15psi. I recently swapped the turbo for a tomei after the oem turbo gave out.

Hard to diagnose via video. Get under the car when it's running and listen if the noise is louder in any area. I wouldn't drive it till you sort it out. Just my opinion but better safe than sorry. Also did you tune the car after the turbo replacement?

I have narrowed it down to the transmission, and noticed it stops when the clutch is pressed. This is the specific part of the transmission

might be your throw out bearing. not sure how old the clutch is but if its the TOB might be time to replace the clutch as well since you have to drop the trans.
