Double Pumper Question
Double Pumper Question
Can I get a couple pictures of fuel lines connected to Buschur Double Pumpers with the newer style fitting? The silver fitting and not the older barbed bronze ones.
I've been having a real problem trying to figure out the best way to connect my fuel line without it leaking. It looks like there is a little intention the size of the compression clamp to clamp down on but I could never get it right that way. I always had hose pinch out the end over the nut on the end and got a leak there. The last time I did it that I think it sealed I had the clamp slightly overhanging the hose but feel like I shouldn't do that.
Should I just clamp further back on the large end where it expands out before tapering down? I've seen one picture with the new fitting and they did that.

the newer fittings are the silver fittings, make sure that you check after a few days of install to see possible leaks. I guess ideally since theres alot of pressure going thru the hoses the further back you pull the rubber hose, the better. you should be safe withthe new style fittings tho
Finally figured out that the actual fitting was leaking and it didn't have anything to do with how I had the hose. I had two friends watch as I turned the key just enough to get a little fuel to come out and it was running out from where the end is threaded on the fitting.
