yeah for sure... thats some bull****.... They filled me full of some crap about "There was a defect in a batch of clutch disk, if there is damage we will pay but if there is any blueing of the fly wheel you pay for it" I was on the phone with them at the time and they contacted mmusa. At this time my car was 1 week old and the clutch had been slipping just in wot situations... At that time i didnt no let them touch the car. Still havent to this day I even paid for an alignment and tires because of there ****ed up ****ty alignment. But the clutch they may just have to pickup the tab on that.........

Seems like every car with a bad clutch disk would have a blued flywheel. You wouldn't know you had a bad clutch until it started slipping and the slipping would cause the flywheel to blue.

Am I missing something absolutely obvious here? I see one bulletin that pertains to the 5th gear grind (5th syncro replacement) and one bulletin that was only to note that there are updated instructions regarding how to remove the clutch from the transaxle.

I see nothing that has anything to do with the clutch. So until there is a bulletin that says "defective prematurely wearing clutches", you will be paying to replace that wear item.

SC~ 27,500 on the original clutch.

Does everyone understand that generates Technical Service Bulletins for Mitsubishi cars, not the government? The NHTSA acts as clearing house for all car manufactures.

And I agree with Secret Chimp, there is nothing implying that the government has even opened a "Defect Investigation". Plus I'm not sure they care if it is not a safety issue.

Speedlimit...

Service Bulletins are not Recalls. Recalls are the free ones.

A Service Bulletin is free repair if your car exhibits the conditions noted in the bulletin.

I agree with Secret Chimp and Speedlimit about the lack of clutch bulletins.

what about the Transfer Case? shouldn't it include at the bulletins a few Evo already have the problem and also replaced by the dealer.
