Turbo Timer
I've heard both sides of the argument. Just wondering how the voting pans out.
Turbo Timer or no?
The EVO is my second turbo car, and I have always used the system of "take it easy before shut down", in leiu of spending $100+ on a turbo timer.
Then there's always the argument, "It's only $100, and will save the life of your turbo."
Any thoughts?

A good 1st cheap mod is of course the Turbo Timer and Boost Adjustment Hardware.
This Apexi Turbo Timer is a good investment for a light but important mod, check out the link.

I was skeptical about needing one until I bought one a few weeks ago. Very easy to install with the plug and play harness. Now I can finally park and immediately get out of the car and not worry. I should have gotten one long ago. Plus it looks cool when someone says, "Sir, you left your car running."
I see you are in AZ. You should definitely get it since the summer heat is brutal and the car does need time to cool down regardless of how hard you drove.

yeah my friends now have an ongoing joke with me and my car, they always say " dude your car" just to annoy me
I second the vote for the Apexi unit, stores neatly in the little cubby hole by the fuse box, out of sight, out of mind, unless you really want to monitor your inaccurate narrow band O2 sensor and voltage levels, good for stealth IMO
