CB 70mm Manifold/S90 Help

I just got around to installing my Curt Brown Racing intake manifold paired with a billet s90 and I'm running to throttle cable issues....?

Seems like there somehow isn't enough cable? When the cable is placed into the butterfly notch, the throttle body is already opening like there's already tension on the spring. I have it as far back as it can mount on the manifold.

Anybody ever run into something similar? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes youll need a flat piece of metal to mount to the intake then use the one hole that still lines up and drill one more to put the bolt in.

I had to slot the holes on the bracket as curt mentioned. On a side note, let us know what you think of the S90 unit, I was looking into them!

Thanks for the help everyone! Will definitely report back. Won't be able to make a good before and after comparison since there's so many things changing but that's beside the point!

Thanks again!

Going to bump this thread a bit. Anyone running an ETS short route with this setup? I can't get the uicp to align. It needs like a 2 inch section cut out. Curious if others ran into this and what did you do to resolve it.

Try to loosen up all the couplers, then try to align it. maybe that could get you the extra length you need.

You could open up the hole on the throttle cable.

OR

Go under the throttle pedal and cut a small piece of the rubber grommet off. This will extend the throttle cable by as much of the rubber grommet that you remove. So nothing will physically look different in the engine bay. If I recall its a 2" grommet.

I unfortunately tried that as well. Pulled the bumper off and tried adjusting and manipulating both pipes and couplers and couldn't get it.

In the end I sent my uicp to a buddy to cut and we will see where I end up. Appreciate the help!

I also figured out the throttle body cable. The bracket needed to be cut to open end on one side and dremeled out in the other slot. I can't grab a picture if anyone needs help.
