Randomly hard to start
silly question, but was the car warmed up when you did the comp check? If you were leaking coolant from the headgasket, it would be worse while driving, once cylinder pressure built up. You should see white "smoke" from the exhaust. Then there is the milky-white substance on the oil fill and/or radiator cap. Bubbles coming through radiator while idling? Are you seeing any of those symptoms?
Your compression numbers are pretty even (My old, OEM engine had 90psi in cyl 3 for yeeears but didn't give me any problems)... so not sure a leakdown will tell much. The comp check will tell if you have a problem, the leakdown will tell you where.
Is the car smoking at all?

Car doesn't smoke. Drives around fine and at WOT.
Figured numbers were on the low end. Not sure what the spec is for cylinder to cylinder delta.
Ok guys need some help. Out of ideas.
I just changed the headgasket on the car and its still having the startup issue.
The head was completely rebuilt by curt brown. Block was untouched.
When its cold it fires right up. But after I have had it running at operating temperature for a while, it cranks over about 10+ times before it will start.
My initial theory was that it was leaking a small amount of coolant in the cylinder causing it to somewhat flood making it a little hard to start.
Anyone have an idea?
