Best Tial 50mm BOV Spring with S2 cams

Alright, I've searched, and I have the tialsport spring rate chart.....but I want to know from experience from you guys, what is the better spring to run in my 50mm Tial BOV with GSC S2's. I have read that a bunch of guys are using the white spring with the S2's, and some use the black spring. Also have read that the black spring is too light?

I just got my car back together from a head gasket, head studs, springs/retainers, and S2 cam install..... and I am trying to get it ready for a retune. Idle seems to hang at 11(ish)in/hg.

I currently have an unpainted (-11psi) spring in at the moment from my previous 272s (which idled at -17in/hg.) I also believe that I have a white spring in my tool box from when I bought the BOV.

I see that the chart says a black spring (or -7psi spring) is suggested for vacuum reading @ -8in/hg to -13in/hg at idle. Knowing this, I have placed my order for black -8in/hg spring.

My question is, from experience which spring seems to work the best with this setup after a tune (I am on SD old mods in sig before new cams/springs etc) for you guys?? The white spring or the black spring with S2's?

Thanks in advance,
Scott

On a 2.2L with S2s, Idling around -11/-12 psi, my Tial QR utilizes the Black spring with no hiccups. Checking the spring pressure chart, the black looks like it will work just fine for you.

Sorry for the bump, but how did the black spring work for you? I just picked up a Tial Q and I installed a white spring. My car idles at -6.8psi which is about 13.8in/hg. The valve stays closed at idle and seems to open when needed. The only complaint so far is that it either surges or flutters at light throttle building 1-5psi. I was wondering if the black spring would take care of this.
