Blew motor and building a new one questions
Hey evom member , how are you guys doing , I blew my evo 9 motor a few months back and now finally have guns to build it . I had a huge amount of parts in my oil pan , consisting of parts of rods and piston . My question is? Can I just clean out my old oil pan and reuse or buy a new one . Same with oil filter housing and oil cooler . I don't want to build and spend a fortune on it and it blow up due to something I can prevent . Please chime in and help out . Thanks guys
Just clean it out. You don't want to re-use oil coolers..etc because they're extremely hard to get all the debris out of and you can never be 100% certain that it's clean.
