Hi guys. Recently had a block let go on me, i'm concerned as to whether shrapnel from the engine might've damaged the turbo, or the sudden lack of oil to the turbo mid-spool could've damaged anything.
-Block nuked at ~5kRPM
-Had done 2 pulls right before, it blew on the 3rd, so hotside was redhot.

I'm starting rebuild this week and was wondering if it's worth getting the turbo opened up and looked at either by the shop or get it sent to precision.

 

Send it to Precision. Better safe than sorry

Better safe than sorry. Wouldn't want to lose another engine due to missing something small.
