Braided clutch line on JDM evo 7

Hi guys, just a quick question regarding braided clutch line install on my 7 I can't seem to find an answer for.

I bought a braiddd clutch line from HEL (a domestic manufacturer here in Aus) and the basic route for a JDM 7 clutch line is solid steel line from the master running along the firewall up to a small clip that sits just behind the battery where it transitions to rubber and that runs from behind the battery to where the ordinary metal clutch line meets the slave.

The braided line looks to be too long? If I'm only to be replacing the rubber section, I'll have way too much line left to route between the slave metal line and the metal line behind the battery. Also, the line has a banjo bolt on one end and a push connector on the other (factory style connector) is there something I'm missing?

Thanks, sorry if it's vague, let me know if you guys need pics I'll try to grab some later.
