Mines Super Turbo Outlet??

I did a search and couldn't find anything on this topic. Anyways, do any of you guys know if this is something that would be beneficial to our Evo 8's?? I am under the impression that Mines engineers good parts but is exspensive, but disregarding price, is this is a good mod or not? Thanks.

Faster spool-up and a little bit more horsepower.

Good mod? Sure, if you have the money. Personally, I'd rather spend that much money on something else.

BTW - They are also referred to as o2 housings. RNR sells one, considerably cheaper than the Mines.

I was thinking about getting one as well eclipsegs2k1. Mines is a very good tuning shop in japan! Take a look at this on ebay!

Personally I had my heart set on the Mine's piece, until I found out it wasn't 3". THere is a place (forget the name, pm me casue I have it somewhere) here in the states that sells a full 3 inch 02 housing for like 350 bucks or so. That's what I'm going to go with. Mine's is too expensive for what you get. Also, I would suggest getting any tubular o2 housing swain or jet hot coated.

Have you seen what the stock one looks like inside? It's quite big, not enough much room to port, and flows every bit as well as these aftermarket units, plus is not stainless (so not prone to cracking)

Its great when a vendor gives advice like this. Proves their commitment to the evo community.

Are you saying the stock O2 housing has room to port out? I haven't looked at it very closely.

oh and thanks for the link pitbul, and adam, you are saying that there is enough room to port the stock one and get the same gains as the mine's?

Well heres my insight on the mines. I have the hyper rev mag from BP auto and the mines is 70mm. I was looking at the Deck Mech power, it has a 76.3mm outlet!!!

But I mean is bigger always better? Especially if you aren't planning on 500+ hp or something?

I know we dynoed our 3" 02 elim vs. 3"Standard and there was a 8whp difference and it spooled about 300rpm sooner. I also believe there was another tuner shop that gained somewhere around 12whp on a more modified car.

I think getting rid of the donut gasket would be a better benefit.
