ACT ME2-HDSS review

Hello all !

So, i went with this clutch with my stock flywheel resurfaced. The work was done by All aspects motorsports in Chesapeake, VA which they did a great job! 6.5 hour turn around time. Big shout out to Aaron and his team!

Initially driving during the break in, it felt good. it made the car feel more solid. it grabbed at a lower point than the stock one and much harder. the pedal is slightly heavier but nothing that will make your left leg bigger than the right. I have gotten so used to driving on a stock and slipping clutch that i actually stalled on my first redlight! so embarrassing! there was also a tone of cars behind me. It took me a few hours of seat time to drive it normally.

After 500 miles of normal street driving, i got to go WOT a few times. It feels great and grabs flawlessly. 7k plus shifts were awesome with no lockout. Rev matching and downshifts were nice also. it is what you expect from a performance street clutch. Its probably just in my head but the evo just feels straight up faster and firmer. I swear the exhaust even sounds different LOL!

So far, i am loving this clutch. i know there are many stories out there about how bad this clutch is but from my experience so far, it is a great clutch. But that being said, i do not track/race my car at all. i only do rolling pulls and never launch. this is strictly my daily/grocery getter/dad car. Mods are in Sig.

I will update/edit this post as i put miles on the clutch. stay tuned!

1000 miles on the clutch. The catch/grab point is back to it's normal spot (closer to top). feels like the stocker now but holds and grabs like no other. All WOT runs shifting at 7200rpms with no lockout. i am really liking this clutch! PP not heavy at all, traffic driving is fine. even with my little power, when i hit full boost (1st through 3rd) and shift, it feels like the tires want to break lose. will keep ya'll informed with more mileage!

Grabbing point on my hdss was a lot lower new as well. Over time it will works its way back up to the top like how it use to be, mine did at least.
