Leaky BOV or Adjusting EBC?
I have noticed that when I have my greddy profec B spec 2 in Hi mode wich is about 20ish if my window is down i hear a constant sound of fluttering at WOT .... Also the whistle of the turbo seems to change as my boost dances around 19-20 psi sounds to me like blibs of BOV venting or the waste gate constantly adjusting.... When I am in Lo mode holding 14 psi I do not hear anything like that and it holds boost like a champ.... Here is my question. Is my BOV leaking causing my EBC to readjust the waste gate for the desired boost level? Has anyone had this problem with the Profec B 2? The sound is very fast and basically sounds like slight venting of the BOV.
If it matters both are at 0% gain. Does the same at 1-15 Gain also.

I read the title of this thread and said to myself "That guy has a Spec II."
Mine does the same thing. Many are faulty. Send it back to Greddy to have it fixed or replace it.

I don't understand how the 1st Greddy Profec B people would do nothing but say good things and this one seems kinda ****ty..... For some reason the damn thing keeps adjusting itself... I don't know why it just doesn't adjust and stay there..... Is it becuase it has a digital boost read out that is constantly changing? So it tries to adjust for the chaning value? I have noticed that no matter what, you will never get this thing to hold 20 psi and actually hold it. It is always 20.xx The value after the decemal ALWAYS changes!!! I did a search and there was nothing to be found about the noise I am hearing.... I am just guessing that the sound I hear is from this stupid *** thing constantly adjusting itself... My serial number is 6641. I heard 6000 and before had problems but was fixed after that.....
