Lancer Evolution has been recalled in Japan for a bad O2 sensor?

I'm wondering if the O2 sensor on my US lancer is bad 'cause I'm running without any of the catalytic converters, kamikaze header and down pipe, RRM test pipe and RRM Muffler and still no Check Engine Light

 

You have a OZ this is for the EVO.

 

Well, it's definitely not the FIRST recall for EVOs There have been recalls regarding other things like AYC

 

Come on any DSM owner knows Mitsubushi and and Recall go hand in hand. Get use to it.

may not have the greatest quality record in the world. However, over the 20 years I've owned 4 different models of these cars. 3 JDM and 1 DSM. None of them failed in any way, no mechanical or electrical problems. The only faults i found were in the DSM '99 Galant that were on internal fit and finish... and the 2000 recall, which did not really effect me.

 

It is just the O2 sensor big deal! Made by denso probably, it should be bulletproof.
