under powered evo 9 AMS 2.3L FP Black

a bit of background info i have an evo 9 with AMS 2.3l Fp black JB previous tune we were able to get 490 whp at 33psi power all the way to 8000rpm 98oct which i think is 93 over there im in OZ. well those number are consistent with other evo numbers. so no probs there
Everything was fine but after heater core change i felt the car was underpowered for some reason. so i decided to go to e85 and to double check my numbers. different tuning shop same dyno it came back at 26psi 355whp.???? i knew it was underpowered hence i asked if it could be my boost controller out of whack but tuner said its normal for boost controller to read different from ecu and nothing wrong with it. so fast forward to e85 tune and its running at 29psi 420whp breaking up at 6500rpm. this is very strange im getting such low power on e85 with fp black? these number are not consistent with what im reading here. Tuner doesnt believe a 2.3L fp black can even get to 600whp and told me dont believe everything you read online? or there is a mechanical issue somewhere? Tuner is a very reputable tuner here in oz. except he doesnt boost pass 30psi coz he dont want to blow the engine which is strange...
Did compression test it came back 135, 145, 145, 125???
would the low compression in cylinder 4 be the cause of such low numbers? or should i be looking elsewhere my gut is boost controller because all my settings are still the same on my boost controler but its running at lower boost? any help please guys thanks brand new plugs, fic2150 for e85.

What fuel pump or pumps are you running?

Dw300 installed last year recommended do you think the pump is failing? wouldnt the tuner pick that up as not getting enough fuel?

When you did compression test, did you do it with hot engine and gas pedal down 100%? Not sure what 2.3L compression should be bit they should all be close.

He should know if fuel is insufficient.

2150cc × 4 = 8600cc/min
1cc = 1ml
8.6 L/min × 60 min/hour = 516 lph
And to make things worse, your 300 lph is usually rated at 43.5 psi, so at 30 psi boost, your pump needs to push 73.5 psi, which is mich less than 300 lph. Let me see if I can find a flow chart.

i think my mate did it a couple of times engine would have been warm as i had driven it a couple hours prior. i dont know if stepped on the gas. i think he just cranked it. ill get him to do it again. but would that be why im missing ponies? but the break up at 6500rpm? AFR looks steady from the dyno charts just under 13.0

Thanks for your help 2006evoixer
the thing is on their baseline pull without installing the new injectors i was showing 26psi 355whp hence there seemed to be an issue before upgrade of the 2150. i should have been seeing 490whp at 33psi

Assuming you rewired your fuel pump to get 14V under boost, at 70 psi, your pump can flkw 250 lph (version 1) or 290 lph (version 2).

13.0 is potentially lean. Remember, 13.0 is not every cylinder. It is an average. If any of your injectors are clogged (my opinion), it can be running lean and the 13.0 is an averge of the exhaust gases. For example: (12.5 + 12.5 + 12.5 + 14.5) ÷ 4 = 13.0. Are any of your spark plugs white? Can your post pictures of each?

You want it hotter. Like 30 minutes prior.

What you say heater core exchange, are you talking about the HVAC?
What kind of dynos were the 2 shops? Dynojet and then mustang dyno? Mustang dyno reads 10% lower.

The heater core change would be a bit of a clue?

its a Mainline dyno here in OZ
yes HVAC = dash job was leaking coolant
ill get the 2 dyno charts up tonight it looks like with the original 93oct tune AFR was sitting at 12.0 jumping 13.0 under load this is 850cc Denso injectors
2150 AFR was sitting at 15.0 then reducing to just under 13.0 under load

Fred may have found your problem. Your head gasket could be leaking during combustion, blowing hot gases into your coolant passages and pressurizing your coolant system and causing leaks.
