On the 8/9 it does. The X not so much. The stock lower pipe is pretty restrictive.

When we did the back to back it was 12hp difference.

Ours is 2.5" all the way until the turbo. The stock one necks down to 1.75 half way through the pipe.

I bought the LP2, can't wait to install, I have the Injen licp which also has a small bottle neck & it added a few ponies...

Absolutely. I run all OEM IC piping except for that lower one (I only swap out OEM parts if necessary). It is a must-have. DOOOOIIIIIIT!
