Either way, this could be why your hotside isn't fitting. Measure the inner diameter in your hotside and it's probably smaller than the 21 cm you measured.
I double-checked the circumference of both and it was 20cm for the factory turbo and 21cm for the 71HTA.

The turbine housing came in at right around 20cm so this definitely appears to be the issue.

I'm happy I wasn't screwing up something simple. I'll reach out to FP and have no doubt they'll take care of me.

Thanks again for the troubleshooting help guys.

I measured my 9 hot side flange & came out w/20.252 CM circumference which is a 2.538" DIA
" DIA

Looks like FP sent out the incorrect 71HTA

I really appreciate you taking the time to measure your 71HTA!

Michael at FP has been great to work with so I'm sure this will get sorted out on Monday when they're back in the office.

That was the 9 Hot side i measured, but my 71HTA would have measured the same

Yeah, FP failed to overnight me a package & it went ground UPS. They refunded me the full shipping cost which was good business

Joe measured his 9 diameter at 2.538" and converted that to metric diameter by: 2.538" × 2.54 cm/" × PI = 20.25 cm.

I asked FP and they said the larger heat shield piece is for a Red or Black.

Turbo is on the way back to FP now and they're going to swap out the head shield and get it back to me.
