question about my turbo

hey guys so i have an 04 evo 8 with an fp green turbo so my turbo is mounted to my exhaust manifold and is connected to my air intake but on the other sude is my downpipe the thing js its not connected to my exhaust pipe or connected to anything its just a small pipe facing down and thats it so my question is why would my turbo have this isnt it supposed to be connected to my exhaust also id like to mention i have exhaust coming out of the tail pipe where it should be coming out and also the turbo is working because you can hear it spooling up as i drive

You have an external 02 dump. It's fine. Some people have them coming out the hood, others have them pointing down.

You can replace it if you want. Exhaust air only comes out of that small tube when you are in boost and the wastegate opens.

my problem with it is the downpipe sites right on my radiator and it just started pissing coolant right where the pipe touches the radiator my guess it its melting a hole in my radiator so i dont knkw what my best bet it maybe change it to face up.

Have it adjusted away from radiator or buy half size radiator.
If facing up, what will you do when it's raining? And during car washes?

what does everyone else do with it? they dont sell caps that open when its flowing like for smoke stacks? and i was thinking half size radiator but i dont think it will do the job my car might run too hot

go to the classifieds and buy a stock o2 housing.... this will fix your issue.

I have an MAP O2 dump and it was welded to point more downward. I haven't tried it to see if that fits, but is should work.
